Frequently Asked Questions
Outsourcing should be simple to understand. This FAQ explains how Round Table Outsourcing works, what we support, and how the RTO Standard keeps the work tied to systems, processes, communication, and accountability.
What is outsourcing?
Outsourcing is when a business uses outside support to handle work that does not require in-house staff.
Modern outsourcing became common in business in the 1980s and 1990s, especially as companies started using outside partners for technology, manufacturing, finance, customer support, and other business functions.
At Round Table Outsourcing, we focus on the three pillars every business needs: back office operations, marketing, and sales.
For us, outsourcing is not just handing work off. It is making sure the work has the right systems and processes behind it.
How is Round Table Outsourcing different from hiring a freelancer?
Hiring a freelancer is not the same as building real support inside your business.
With a freelancer, the responsibility still sits on you. You have to create the systems and processes, explain every detail, manage the work, monitor quality, protect access, follow up on deadlines, and step in when something gets missed.
That is not support. That is another person to manage.
Round Table Outsourcing is different.
We work with clients as a service partner. We help look at the business, build around the current process, and make sure the work is handled with structure, communication, security, and accountability behind it.
What areas of the business can Round Table Outsourcing support?
Round Table Outsourcing supports the three pillars every business needs: back office operations, marketing, and sales.
That can mean support with the daily work behind those areas, from keeping operations organized to helping marketing stay consistent and supporting sales follow-up for client acquisition.
We also support select specialty roles when the business needs a more specific skill set, such as accounting, design, HR, IT, and more that you can discuss with our team.
Do clients manage the support directly?
No. Our clients work with Round Table Outsourcing through a managed structure.
That is by design.
Our clients are not hiring an individual, interviewing staff, or building the business around one person. That falls back into the same problem most companies run into with freelancers or the traditional virtual assistant model.
Even when someone is good at what they do, the client is still left managing the individual. Round Table Outsourcing is different. If our clients need admin support, marketing support, or sales support, RTO manages the seat and the work connected to it.
Our clients stay involved, but they are trusting us to manage the process, keep communication structured, and make sure the work is handled correctly.
Where is your team based?
Round Table Outsourcing is based in the United States, with team operations in the Philippines.
Do you only work with specific industries?
No. Round Table Outsourcing is not built around one industry.
We focus on the systems and processes behind the work. Every business is different, but back office, marketing, and sales still need structure, communication, follow-up, and accountability.
Knowing industry terms can help, but that alone does not create long-term support. A business needs people who understand the actual work, the process behind it, and how to keep it moving.
We take time to understand the business, what makes it different, and where support makes sense. Then we build around the work that needs to be handled.
How does the consultation work?
The consultation is a direct conversation about your business, your goals, and where support makes sense.
Some businesses already know the exact area they want help with. Others come to us because they know something needs to improve, but they are not sure what support should look like yet.
That is normal.
We talk through how the business is currently operating across back office, marketing, and sales so we can understand the full picture before recommending anything.
If someone comes in asking about sales support, we still look at marketing and back office. If someone comes in asking about admin support, we still look at how sales and marketing are being handled.
The point is not to force one solution from either side. Sometimes a business thinks it needs support in one area, but the real issue is somewhere else.
From there, we discuss where Round Table Outsourcing fits and what the next step should look like.
Can Round Table Outsourcing work with our current systems and processes?
Yes. Round Table Outsourcing is built to work inside your current systems and processes, but we do not follow every process without review.
The reason is simple: support only works when the process is efficient, clear, and accountable. If a system is flawed or the process creates confusion, it limits how much we can actually help.
We combine business consulting with outsourcing support. That means we look at how the business currently operates, how the work is being handled, and whether the current process actually makes sense.
Some clients already know how they want the work done. Others need help figuring out how to use support correctly so they get the full value from it.
That is where our team works as a service partner, not just a “vendor.”
We align with your business, but we also bring our own systems, processes, and standards to help make the support stronger, cleaner, and easier to use.
What if we already have internal staff or another support provider?
That is fine. Round Table Outsourcing is not here to remove internal team members or replace something that is already working.
Our role is to complement your current process and look at where support can make the business stronger.
If you already have a provider, the question is whether they are supporting the full picture or only one part of it.
We look at what is already in place, what is working, and where the business may still be leaving value on the table.
Sometimes the next step is not replacing anything. It is reviewing the current setup and identifying where additional structure or support makes sense.
Is outsourcing only for large companies?
Outsourcing is used by businesses of all sizes.
At Round Table Outsourcing, we look at the business, the process, and where support makes sense before recommending anything.
